We are Scotland's first cafe making food with insects. We draw on the rich wisdom of world cultures with sustainable lifestyles to create great products, which are good for us and good for the planet.


Insects are high in protein and have a low carbon footprint. They require significantly fewer resources compared to traditional sources of protein, making them an eco-friendly option to enjoy.


From nutty cricket brownies to spicy grasshopper cakes, we make a range of high quality and high protein fresh bakes. Using no butter, no preservatives and no artificial ingredients, each product is a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional taste and nutritional value. For the foodies out there, this is truly a culinary adventure waiting to be savoured.

Driving Innovative Sustainability

We implement sustainability through an innovative approach. Making insects physiologically accessible as food using a range of traditional and creative recipes. Insects are easier to produce and have a lower carbon footprint compared to other sources of protein, both animal and plant. They require small amounts of feed, water, space and can potentially contribute to reducing food security and promoting healthier lifestyles.


All our insects are sourced ethically and responsibly. 

Working In Collaboration

Climate change is a global challenge that requires collective action. That's why we actively seek out partnerships that help us build stronger alliances. If you're an environmental group, an educational institution or an innovative organisation, interested in partnering with us, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Supporting Local Community

We are proud to partner with local homeless charities in Edinburgh to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. Nutritious food should be accessible to all and we make it so by providing a free healthy cake to breakfast and lunch clubs run by these charities. Compassionate listening, sharing and learning over a cake can be powerful!
